The use of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is revolutionizing the joining and conditioning process. Instead of rigid time specifications, the method described in patent DE102021134334A1 from SIVONIC GmbH controls the joining and conditioning process dynamically in real time, based on the impedance values of the cells.

This enables more precise monitoring of electrical, chemical and mechanical changes, reduces the joining and conditioning time, minimizes rejects and lowers energy consumption.

Thanks to the robust multi-channel EIS measurement technology and seamless integration into production lines, production becomes more efficient, more resource-friendly and of higher quality - a major step forward for SOFC/SOEC technology.
