On May 7, 2025, the event “Structural Change in Saxony-Anhalt: meet@Hydrogen Project H2HUB and Future Center for Digital Work” took place at the Elbfabrik of the Fraunhofer IFF in Magdeburg. Organized by the H2HUB Hydrogen Project Saxony-Anhalt and the Future Center for Digital Work Saxony-Anhalt, the event provided a valuable platform for exchange between science, industry, and politics – with a focus on topics such as energy transformation, digitalization, and securing skilled labor.
As a company firmly rooted in the region, SIVONIC GmbH contributed important practical insights. In his keynote speech, Managing Director Robert Benecke emphasized the key role of medium-sized enterprises in implementing Germany’s hydrogen strategy. He addressed the specific challenges faced by companies working with hydrogen technologies – particularly the growing demand for qualified professionals and the need for closer collaboration between industry and research institutions.
Mr. Benecke also highlighted the importance of a well-connected regional ecosystem along the entire hydrogen value chain – from electrolyzer manufacturers and network operators to industrial consumers. Only through coordinated cooperation among these actors can a powerful and future-proof hydrogen economy be established in Saxony-Anhalt.
