SIVONIC at Hannover Messe 2025 - Innovative measurement technology for the hydrogen economy of the future

  • Messe

SIVONIC presented itself at Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Europe with high-precision measurement technology for fuel cells, batteries and electrolysers. The focus: applications of impedance spectroscopy in research, production control and online monitoring of electrolyzers - a strong contribution to the hydrogen economy of the future.

From March 31 to April 4, 2025, SIVONIC GmbH was represented at Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Europe as part of the Hannover Messe. The trade fair is regarded as Europe's leading platform for hydrogen technologies and sustainable energy systems - an ideal place to present our latest developments to an international specialist audience.

Our high-performance impedance spectrometers (EIS meters) were at the center of our trade fair presence. These enable the precise electrochemical analysis of fuel cells, batteries and electrolysers - in research as well as in industrial applications. A wide range of possible applications were presented: from the analysis of electrochemical components in development to quality assurance in production and online monitoring of electrolysers during operation. The latter in particular plays a central role in the safe, efficient and economical production of green hydrogen.

Our stand also received a great deal of attention from two state secretaries from Saxony-Anhalt: Dr. Jürgen Ude, State Secretary for Structural Change and Major Industrial Projects in the State Chancellery, and Stefanie Pötzsch, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt, personally informed themselves about our technology and had the functionality of the devices explained to them in detail. The strong interest underlines the growing importance of measurement technology solutions for the successful implementation of the energy transition - at regional, national and global level.

Another highlight of our trade fair appearance was the presentation by our application engineer Prathamesh Prashant Chikorde entitled “Exploring fuel cells and electrolyzers with high-performance EIS”. In his presentation, he clearly showed how electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) helps to better understand complex processes in electrochemical systems and to optimize them in a targeted manner.

Hannover Messe 2025 was a complete success for SIVONIC. The numerous discussions, the professional interest and the positive feedback from industry and politics confirm our course: With our measurement technology, we are making a concrete contribution to the industrial implementation of the hydrogen economy.
