SIVONIC contributed to the technical program of the workshop “Test, Validate, Certify!” organized by HZwo e.V.. With more than 200 members from industry, research, and public institutions, HZwo is one of Germany’s leading hydrogen networks and plays a key role in accelerating the hydrogen economy.
In his presentation, “From Diagnostics to Advantage: High-Performance EIS for Fuel Cells and Electrolyzers,” our CEO Hannes Benecke demonstrated how advanced electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is evolving from a classical analytical method into a strategic enabler for system operation. He introduced new functionalities for continuous monitoring and precise condition assessment of electrolyzers, aimed at increasing transparency, optimizing performance, and unlocking lifetime potential.
Another highlight of the workshop was the update on progress within the EU project DELYCIOUS. With the integration of the SIVONIC EIS Meter, the project has successfully reached its next development stage. This milestone underlines the technological relevance and practical applicability of high-performance EIS diagnostics in innovative, safe, and cost-efficient electrolyzer solutions.
The event was jointly organized with HORIBA FuelCon and hosted at its modern facilities. It provided a high-level platform for in-depth exchange among industry, research, and application experts across the entire hydrogen value chain — from validation to industrial deployment.
