SIVONIC Demonstrates Successful Lab Validation of the EIS Meter in the DELYCIOUS Project
As part of the project DELYCIOUS, a Horizon Europe and Clean Hydrogen Partnership funded R&D project, SIVONIC has successfully tested a high-precision EIS meter for use in electrochemical diagnostics. The goal was to demonstrate the system's measurement accuracy and reliability at laboratory scale—an important step toward its future application in real-world electrolyzers.
The EIS meter covers a wide range of impedance values, making it suitable for various cell types and operating conditions. The calibration was successful: measurement results were within defined tolerances and matched reference data exactly.
A particularly convincing outcome was the subsequent test measurement on an alkaline electrolysis cell from Stargate Hydrogen. The resulting Nyquist plot was clear, stable, and free from interference—with distinct electrochemical processes visible at both the cathode and anode. This high data quality enables precise analysis and modeling of electrochemical behavior.
With this laboratory test, documented in a detailed status report, SIVONIC is making a key contribution to the development of universal diagnostic tools within the DELYCIOUS project—paving the way for more efficient and durable hydrogen production.
