Software Developer (m/f/d) – C++ / Algorithms & AI

SIVONIC GmbH is a German company headquartered in Magdeburg-Barleben. Our team has been active in the field of impedance spectroscopy for 20 years. Our impedance spectrometers are used by renowned companies in the fields of fuel cells, electrolysis and many other areas.

As a future-oriented high-tech company, qualified and motivated employees are an important factor in our success. To ensure that we can continue to operate successfully in the market, we need people who pursue our shared goals with commitment and dedication.

As we continue to expand our software platform, we are consistently developing our measurement technology into intelligent diagnostic and analytical solutions for industrial applications.

To support this development, we are looking for an experienced Software Developer (m/f/d) specializing in C++, algorithms and machine learning who will develop sophisticated software solutions and integrate data-driven analysis and diagnostic methods into our products.

If you enjoy translating complex technical challenges into robust software and intelligent analytical methods and would like to develop innovative products for international customers as part of an interdisciplinary team, we look forward to getting to know you.

Your responsibilities

Software Development with C++

You develop and optimize modern software components for our measurement, analysis and diagnostic systems. You implement sophisticated functionality in C++ while ensuring a modular, maintainable, testable and high-performance software architecture.

You are involved throughout the entire development process – from technical concept and implementation to integration and testing – and continuously enhance existing software structures.

Algorithms, Signal Processing & Data Analysis

You develop methods for processing and analyzing electrochemical measurement data as well as other operational and process data. This includes signal processing, feature extraction, statistical analysis and time-series analysis.

You translate technical and mathematical requirements into robust algorithms and implement them in a way that ensures their reliable use within our software products.

Machine Learning & Intelligent Diagnostic Methods

You develop data-driven methods and machine-learning models for condition assessment, fault diagnosis and performance analysis of technical systems.

Your work includes classification, regression, anomaly detection and forecasting methods. You evaluate different approaches using real-world measurement data, validate models and continuously improve suitable methods.

Product Integration & Data Processing

You transform algorithms and models from prototypes into production-ready software and integrate them into our existing software platform.

You develop software components for processing, storing and providing measurement and analysis data and work with databases, backend services and APIs.

Performance, scalability, traceability and long-term maintainability are just as important as the quality of the analytical methods themselves.

Software-Quality & Collaboration

You ensure high software quality through automated testing, code reviews and structured development processes.

You work closely with our software development, hardware development and application teams and contribute your expertise both to the development of new functionality and to the technical advancement of our software platform.

Your profile

Education & Qualifications

You have successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.

Professional Experience

You have at least three years of professional experience in software development and have contributed to larger-scale software projects.

Your primary focus is on developing sophisticated software in C++. In addition, you have gained practical experience with data-driven applications, mathematical algorithms, signal processing or machine learning.

You are accustomed to independently handling tasks throughout the entire development lifecycle – from analysis and concept development to implementation, integration, testing and optimization.

Technical Skills

You have very good knowledge of modern C++, preferably C++17 or later, and are familiar with object-oriented and modular software development, multithreading, resource management and the development of robust applications.

You have experience developing and implementing algorithms for data or signal processing and possess a solid understanding of mathematical and statistical methods.

You have practical knowledge of machine learning and are familiar with fundamental methods such as classification, regression, anomaly detection and time-series analysis.

For data analysis, prototyping and machine learning, you are proficient in Python and common libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.

You have experience working with databases, backend services and APIs and are able to process, store and provide measurement data, analysis results, configurations and historical information in a structured manner.

You are familiar with automated unit, component, integration and regression testing as well as version control and modern build systems.

You are able to independently analyze complex technical challenges, evaluate suitable solution approaches and translate them into maintainable, production-ready software.

Personal Strengths

You work analytically, systematically and independently. Complex technical and mathematical challenges motivate you just as much as developing sustainable software solutions.

You critically evaluate results and are able to assess and improve both software and algorithms using appropriate criteria.

You are characterized by high quality standards, a strong team spirit and the motivation to actively contribute to the development of innovative high-tech products.

Language Skills

Excellent German language skills or native level in German, as well as excellent written and spoken English skills, are essential due to the close collaboration within our development and technical departments.
