EIS for battery cells

Impedance spectroscopy for the investigation of battery cells.

Impedance spectra for battery cells have become increasingly important during this time. They provide extremely informative information not only when the cells are idle (OCV), but especially when they are under load. The analysis of impedance spectra makes it possible to understand and characterize the electrochemical processes within the battery cells in detail during the charging and discharging process.

The impedance spectrometer has been specially optimized for the investigation of lithium-ion battery cells and battery modules. By precisely measuring the impedance spectra, important parameters such as internal resistance, capacity and changes in state during operation can be accurately recorded. These findings are crucial for the development and optimization of battery systems in order to improve performance, safety and service life.

In addition to its use in research and development laboratories, the impedance spectrometer is also used in production to ensure the quality and consistency of battery cells and modules.
